Welcome...
to the Behçet's Disease Books and Resources
website. It has been created by Joanne Zeis, Behçet's patient and author
of Essential
Guide to Behçet's Disease,
You Are Not
Alone: 15 People with Behçet's, Basic Information on Behçet's
Disease, and Behçet's
Disease: Medical Research Studies. This site was last
updated on 5/6/08. If you're new to Behçet's disease (BD), please take a
look at
Behçet's Basics.
This section provides a general overview of the symptoms of Behçet's, as
well as information on diagnostic criteria, and a description of the
challenges of living with BD on a daily basis.
The books and resources offered here are
designed to meet the needs of anyone with Behçet's connections -- from
patients, their family members and friends, to health care
professionals. Some products are offered at a reduced rate to Behçet's
patients facing financial difficulties due to their illness. (Please
send private email to
Joanne for more information.
As a 29-year veteran of Behçet's disease, I
understand the frustrations and pain of living with this illness. Trying
to find appropriate treatment is hard enough. Finding well-written,
comprehensive information about Behçet's disease shouldn't be one of
your frustrations.
Be well,
Joanne Zeis
